Frequently asked questions

Do I really need professional help with my hair and/or makeup?

When your car breaks down, you bring it to a professional- someone who works at their craft on a daily basis and continuously attends training and improving their skill. It’s the same for hair and makeup! There’s a reason celebrities have someone do their makeup for special events and photos. You will be amazed at what a difference a pro can make! Let us relieve the stress of looking your best and pamper you on your special day.

Do I need to know my final headcount per service before getting in touch?

The more you know upfront, the more accurate your quote is! However, we want to make sure you secure your date - we can figure the rest out as we go!

What is required to book your services?

Just complete the information request form located on the Contact Us page. After you have filled out all the necessary information and sent it to us, we review it and send you an agreement which includes pricing for our hair and makeup services for your wedding or special event. Once you decide we’re a good fit, just send the agreement back to us along with a $600 non-refundable retainer to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your special event. That’s it!

What exactly is a bridal trial appointment?

A trial appointment is scheduled at our studio on average for 1 hour for one service, or 1.5-2 hours for two services. The artist will discuss with you what your overall wedding day style is as well as your typical beauty preferences to get a better gauge of what you are comfortable with and what will best compliment your overall look. This is a great opportunity to get to know your artist and for us to get to know you! We always love hearing about your love story, wedding details, and most of all making this a fun experience for you! Please feel free to bring your veil or any other wedding accessories you would like that will help you to see the full hair and makeup vision.

Can I schedule a trial session before I book?

Yes you can! We know how important finding the right beauty team is for your big day.. When scheduling a trial run prior to booking, we will pair you with an artist that is currently still available for your date, however we cannot guarantee that specific artist until your contract has been signed and the deposit has been paid. We strongly suggest completing your booking within 1-2 days after your trial run to ensure you will have the same artist as your trial. Your trial run fee will be due when the appointment is confirmed. If you choose to book us for your wedding day after your trial run, the remaining portion of the depsoit will be due to confirm your booking.

When should I schedule my trial for?

We suggest 1-3 months from your wedding date. This ensures you have nailed down your bridal vision and have key details already secured for your big day such as your dress, wedding colors, etc. However, you can schedule a trial whenever is convenient and most comfortable for you! Please note, trials runs are typically scheduled Monday-Thursdays as Friday-Sunday our lead hair and makeup artists are on locations for weddings & events. We may be able to accommodate a Friday or a Sunday depending on the week. Email us with 4-5 dates you are available to get your appointment scheduled.

How far in advance should I book?

Sooner is always better than later. The average time is about 6 months in advance, but we have some clients that book 12 to 16 months out. Having said that, we are happy to accommodate short notice bookings as long as we are available.

Do you come to me, or do I come to you for my services?

DFW: We typically do trial runs, bridal/engagement hair and makeup, and all other pre-wedding appointments that require our services in our studio in Richardson, Texas!
East Texas + Oklahoma: You are more than welcome to come out to our DFW location; otherwise, we will coordinate this with your team!

What is your cancellation policy?

In the event of a wedding/event cancellation the $600 retainer will not be refunded. If the event is cancelled 60 days or less prior, the full balance is owed. All changes need to be made 60 days prior to your wedding day to be eligible for a refund.. You are more than welcome to add on services but if someone cancels within 60 days before your wedding you must notify us to update our artist's timeline. You may replace them with someone else but there are no refunds within 60 days before your wedding day. Hair extension rentals must be added on at least 3 weeks in advance of your event. You will not be refunded for any hair extension rentals cancelled less than 60 days prior to the event. All appointments are paid in advance and require a 24 hour cancellation. Less than a 24-hour notice will result in a charge of $50. No shows will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount. This charge will be added to your invoice. Please email us if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment!

Can you stay on site during my event or come back so I can change my look for the reception?

We are happy to help. Just request all the services you are interested in and we will give you an exact quote to accommodate your needs.

I have a large bridal party and not much time to get ready. Can you handle it?

Absolutely. Please provide us as many details as you can when you reserve your date! Once we get your information, we will make sure we have enough artists to give you excellent results in the time you have to work with.

Is gratuity included in the quote?

No. We never expect anything extra, but are always grateful to receive tips if you feel pleased with the services provided. We always leave that decision up to the client.

How early can you start?

We will work with your schedule. We consider 8am as our normal start time for any work day. If you need us before 8 in the morning, extra fees may apply. In special circumstances, we may ask that you secure accommodations for the artists the night before the event.

What kind of products does your team use?

Tease to Please uses professional, camera-ready hair and makeup products. Because they are top grade, you might not always recognize the brand names since many are not available to the general public. We only use products that we know will give you a flawless look and that will last the longest. If you have sensitive skin or any skin issue, we also have products that are safe and hypoallergenic. Just let us know any of your cares or concerns at the trial run and we are happy to accommodate your needs as best we can.

Do you provide any specialty services? (airbrushing, extensions, false eyelashes, etc)

We provide airbrush foundation, false lashes including both strip or individual lashes, and hair extension rentals and recommend all 3 for brides wanting to look and feel their best! We also offer the ultimate trial run experince in our private room you upgrade to for your trial run appointment! Check out your local pricing guide for more details. If you have questions about other specialty services, just ask! If we don’t provide the service, chances are we can recommend someone who does.

Do you only do weddings?

Tease to Please can help you with any special event, not just weddings. Many clients book us for family portrait sessions, proms, corporate functions, etc. If it is a meaningful event to you or your family, we want to be your go-to hair and makeup artist! Most of our clients continue to use our services even after their wedding day!
