Wedding Day Glam Timeline Breakdown Blog

Between getting ready with a professional beauty team like Tease to Please Hair and Makeup and seeing the entire wedding you’ve been planning for months come together, there will be lots going on during your big day. To avoid as much stress as possible, we always create comprehensive getting-ready timelines for every bride to share with their planners, photographers, bridesmaids, and family members so we’re all on the same page when the time comes – literally! We’ve put together some details about what goes into our well-thought-out timelines as well as a list of all the things you need to know about the logistics of getting your wedding day hair and makeup done.

It Might Be an Early Morning

Be prepared for some early rising – especially if you have an early wedding or a large wedding party. The larger the party, the more stylists Tease to Please will provide. With a team of over 60 artists, we have you covered no matter how many bridesmaids and moms you have getting glammed on the big day!

Everyone Has a Time Slot

Whether their names are clearly printed in each space or timelines are listed by the type of service being provided (bridesmaid, mom, or flower girl), every wedding attendant paid for on your invoice will be allotted a time slot of 30-40 minutes for hair and 45 minutes for makeup. Brides get a full 60 minutes per service and we always plan for time at the very end to circle back for touch-ups on all services!

Who Goes When

As sweet as it is for you to suggest your beautiful bride goes first since it’s her big day, she will almost always be going last or second to last to ensure she’s the freshest for the entirety of the evening! We don’t usually pay much attention to what order everyone else goes in since we double-back to touch up anything that might need a little extra attention. However, if you’re someone who has virtually no hold to their hair, you might mention this to stylists at the beginning so they can proceed how they see fit.

Touchy Touch-Ups

Your makeup artists and hair stylists take pride in seeing their clients happy, so they won’t be offended if you ask to have a tweak made or you decide that you want to switch from all down to a half up instead. The bride may have had a chance to go through a trial run or two before the big day, but that’s usually not the case for the rest of the wedding party! Keep in mind it is her wedding after all, but if you truly don’t feel your most beautiful, then feel free to speak up politely and when the artist is available and making their rounds for touch-ups. If you’re not the bride but you’re getting your hair and makeup done on their big day, you can also get a trial run done if it’s in your budget! Just send us an email at info@teasetoplease.net and we will get you set up so you don’t have to wonder what to expect on the wedding day.

We know it sounds like a long day, but time truly flies by. Use downtime to snap photos, have a mimosa and a bite to eat, and enjoy those special, last few hours before the ceremony. Book your big day with Tease to Please Hair and Makeup here!
